Global Tech Advocates is the only truly international grassroots tech community, uniting the private sector in multiple cities and regions worldwide.
More than 30,000 business leaders, experts and investors volunteer their time to campaign for the betterment of the global tech industry.
The Global Tech Advocate - Semiconductor Working Group aims to unite corporates, investors, policymakers, and innovators to share knowledge, engage in thought-provoking conversations, and collaborate to advance the semiconductor industry globally.
By fostering strong partnerships across numerous countries focusing on semiconductors including Taiwan, UK and others, the aim is to elevate global collaboration in the semiconductor industry to new heights.
Objectives & Activity Plan
OBJECTIVES:
- Encourage Collaboration: Foster cooperation across countries, regions, and verticals to drive innovation in semiconductor technology.
- Global Hub Integration: Connect various semiconductor hubs worldwide to share ideas and best practices
- Policy Facilitation: Enable discussions among policymakers and think tanks to evaluate semiconductor strategies that leverage regional strengths and promote mutually beneficial collaborations.
ACTIVITY PLAN:
- Annual Event: Host an annual semiconductor event during London Tech Week
- Regional Events: Organize regional semiconductor events in different semiconductor hubs around the world leveraging other GTA groups in Japan, Korea, Malaysia, India and US

Hi, I’m Josh, the Lead and Founder of the GTA Semiconductor Working Group. I also run SemiVentures, a semiconductor advisory firm dedicated to connecting Taiwan’s supply chain and expertise with EMEA to drive semiconductor innovation. My inspiration for founding the GTA Semiconductor Group is to facilitate and foster global collaboration in the semiconductor industry, strengthening strategic partnerships and knowledge exchange across key markets.
